CBSE duplicate marksheet & certificate
How to get a duplicate CBSE marksheet, pass certificate or migration certificate if the original is lost or damaged.
Reviewed July 2026
Try the digital copy first
The quickest route is the digital document. CBSE issues legally valid digital marksheets and pass certificates through DigiLocker (Parinam Manjusha), and for many purposes a DigiLocker copy is accepted in place of a reprint. Note that from 2025 onwards, migration certificates are issued only in digital format and are not available as physical copies.
How to apply for a duplicate CBSE certificate
The exact steps and charges are set by CBSE and revised from time to time — confirm the current procedure on the official site before applying.
- 1
Download the digital copy from DigiLocker.
- 2
If a physical duplicate marksheet or pass certificate is still required, apply through CBSE's Duplicate Academic Document System (DADS) online portal or your regional office.
- 3
Provide your candidate details and pay the fee prescribed in the official procedure.
- 4
Receive the duplicate document once processed.
